Thank you for purchasing from the World Vision catalog this Christmas!

Your response to giving gifts of love from the World Vision Catalog this Christmas was wonderful!

Our congregation did give gifts and will change lives. Altogether, adding up the “ornaments” hung on our tree, we gave approximately $3,000 to people and communities in need around the world!

We gave four families mosquito nets, four goats, multiple chickens, ducks and rabbits. Donations of medicines exceeded $550 and for clean water over $600! A child was sponsored for a year, and gifts were made for safety and hope for girls, Bibles, and seeds for families. Soccer balls were given to schools and money to educate a child.

And it’s possible we gave even more! Some may have contributed and not added their gift ornament to our tree in the Narthex.

Thank you all for your participation in sharing the true spirit of Christmas with those in need!

Making New Year's Resolutions?

Happy New Year from Christ Alone Church!

Are you thinking about some resolutions for 2011?  How about ...

  • Committing or re-committing to reading your Bible every day?  Being in the Word regularly is critical!  How can I do this, you ask?  Jump in!  One way you can do this is by reading the chapters Pastor Ted assigns each week (which is posted here).  Another way is to use a good study devotional -- a good one to start with is Scripture Union ... quarterly, we offer the guides for sale.  Not sure if you can do a guide yet?  No problem!  You can have each day's devotion emailed to you!
  • Coming to Alpha?  Preceded by a wonderful dinner and followed by meaningful interaction, the Alpha videos present the Christian faith in a way that stimulates and engages.  Are you or do you know someone who is struggling?  Do you or do you know someone who has questions about faith?  Are you or do you know someone who has come to a place where they’re hungering for things of the Spirit?  If so, then please come and/or invite them to join you on this course.  Their time will be well spent.  It begins in just two weeks, on Thursday, January 13, at 5:30 p.m., in Fellowship Hall.  If you think you can come, please call Pastor Ted (920-857-3231) so that the right amount of food may be prepared.  If you would like to hear the firsthand reports of our past participants, let us know.  And if you would like to peruse Alpha’s national website, please go to www.Alpha.org.  (Donny’s story is well worth the 2:49!)
  • Joining the Adult Bible Study class (held during the Sunday School time, beginning at 8:30 a.m.) or a small group (or both!)?  Our Adult Bible Study has been studying the Book of Acts -- and it's not to late to join!  Our small groups study a variety of topics.  Talk to Pastor Ted or a Session member for more information.
