Youth Group Time Change

Our Youth Group will be starting at 6:00 p.m. beginning this Sunday, October 7.

If you want a preview of what will be discussed, read John 3.

Youth Group Mission Project -- October 12

Our youth will be doing a mission project of making no-sew fleece blankets on October 12 and are looking for fleece donations.

If you are interested in donating pieces of fleece, the needed size is 1 1/2 yards.

Remember the Great Giveaway is tomorrow, starting with a Pancake & Porkie breakfast at 8:00 a.m.!

Fall Faith Renewal is September 9!

Fall Faith Renewal is only two days away!

All children and youth in grades 4K-12th are invited to meet in Fellowship Hall at 8:30 a.m. for our kick off to Sunday School, where we will begin our exciting new curriculum, Living Inside Out by Group Publishing.  Adults are invited to the Lounge for the Adult Bible Study, where we are beginning our study of "Church and State."

Our worship service returns to 10:00 a.m., and we will have our church picnic immediately following worship.

August 5 Service

This Sunday in worship ... Jon Brassfield will be preaching, the Ekaterinburg Trio will be providing the music, and we will be observing the Lord's Supper. 

Worship during the summer begins at 9:00 a.m.

Future leadership for CAC

On Sunday, July 15, the congregation members present at the congregational meeting voted to accept the proposed changes to the bylaws, and the Session is now accepting nominations for people to participate in the leadership training class, which will start this fall.

Please pray about people in the CAC congregation who you believe might fit the biblical qualification for Ruling Elder, and if you believe you are being called to this role, please be in prayer about that too.

We will be accepting nomination forms until the end of August; the forms can be found on the Welcome Table in the Narthex, or as an attachment from Pastor Ted's June 26th email.

A Mother's GIFT begins Thursday, September 6!

She's Got Issues by Nicole Unice

Calling all moms! A Mother's GIFT (Growing In Faith Together) will be beginning a study of "She's Got Issues" by Nicole Unice on September 6.

A Mother's GIFT is a Bible study for moms of all ages and stages of motherhood -- from new moms to grandmoms. AMG meets in the Lounge every other Thursday from 9:30-11:00 a.m., and we meet September-November and January-May.

The Truth Project study begins February 20

Please join us on Mondays at 6:30 p.m. to study The Truth Project, led by Mike Swan.  What is The Truth Project?  From The Truth Project's website:

In a recent study, the Barna Research Group revealed a stunning statistic that continues to reverberate throughout the evangelical world. Only 9 percent of professing Christians have a biblical worldview.

Because of this, today's believers live very similarly to non-believers. A personal sense of significance is rarely experienced, we spend our money and time on things that fail to satisfy and we begin to wonder what life's ultimate purpose really is. We are, in short, losing our bearings as a people and a nation. 

To counter this slide within the body of Christ, we are launching one of the most ambitious and powerful projects in the history of our ministry: Focus on the Family's The Truth Project. 

The Truth Project is a DVD-based small group curriculum comprised of 13 one-hour lessons taught by Dr. Del Tackett. This home study is the starting point for looking at life from a biblical perspective. Each lesson discusses in great detail the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview in daily life.
